Xander was surprised to hear from Wayne that Rose had returned from work before the clock had struck afternoon. To add to his surprise, Wayne told him that Rose immediately went to her room when she returned and hadn’t left it since she went in 20 minutes ago.
Xander wanted to know why she had returned before the work day had ended, which was typically at 5 PM. He ordered Wayne to call for her, and the butler did as he asked.
