Because of his blunder, Xander no longer cared to find out if it really was Rose that had been at the auction house. Her story made sense. She gave Wayne the medication so that he could administer it because she thought Xander did not want to see her.
Due to that, she spent the rest of the day in her bedroom, only going out to get some fresh air in the garden for a while before going back inside when it started to rain.
