"You cannot expect me to marry a girl you both want, its not possible"
"Well Cian, whether you like it or not, you are getting married to her" Samantha fired off from her seat beside her husband on the dinning table.
"Mom I already have a girlfriend" Cian said with a roll of his eyes.
"Which your father and I never approved of"
"Son..." Simon growled, a fierce light shown in his gray eyes, "...we have found someone who is perfect for you, I don't want to hear any nonsense about this girlfriend. I never liked her now keep quiet and let's eat."
Can took his fork with clenched teeth, his eyes shone with defiance but he said nothing.

"Ella, are you alright? You seem a bit down."
Her boss asked her, jostling her out of her blank gaze.
"Um..yeah. I'm fine"
"Good, you need to smile for customers."
She sighed audibly, the phone numbers were gone, there was no other way to reach them except waiting for them to come to the restaurant, the problem was that they weren't frequent customers.
"Ella! Both your customers are here and they are asking for you" her boss announced.
She perked up, "Both of them are here?"
She ran out to see them standing with smiles on their faces. Samantha rushed and pulled her into a hug, she stiffened then after a few seconds, she relaxed into the hug.
"I'm so glad to see you Ella."
Simon grinned as he pulled her into a hug too.
"So tell me, what do you say to our proposal?" Samantha cut straight to the point.
Both their faces became strained with anxiety and nervous anticipation.
"Yes, if you'll have me as a daughter in law" Ella replied timidly with a shy smile on her lips.
"Yes we do!" Samantha yelled and hugged her again, not paying mind to the curious glances they were receiving from other customers.
"Come on, we have to get you two to meet"
"But wait...I'm still working"
Samantha frowned, "You are going to be our daughter in law. You can't be working here anymore."
"Yes, you are too precious for that"
"Okay...um...at least let me say goodbye"
After a brief explanation and goodbye, she found herself in a Limousine.
"Sleek" she muttered as she ran her hands on the seat and door.
"We have to get you cleaned, dressed and made up, he is going to love you." Samantha gushed, her blue eyes shone in excitement.
Ella could only chuckle nervously, this was a bit unreal for her and she had a few worries about the arrangement but she was too scared to speak up.
"Alright. My daughter in law has to be dressed in the best dress you have to offer, make up, shoes. In fact, make her more beautiful than she already is." Samantha briskly commanded as soon as they got to a fancy boutique.
Ella was dragged away and attended to without being able to utter a singer word. By the time they were done, she was exhausted. Her exhaustion flew out the window immediately she saw herself in the mirror.
"Is that me?" she breathed out in wonder.
"Oh. You look so beautiful" Samantha sniffed as she stared at her with misty eyes.
"I knew you were beautiful, but right now you look like an angel" Simon praised her.
Ella smiled at them bashfully, they were praising her a bit too much. She marveled at her reflection, her dress was a sky blue cocktail gown that stopped above her knees with a slit at the side showing her toned legs and curves. Her make up was simple and charming and her long blonde hair was curled in waves to fall at her back.
"I'm sure my son will be thrilled to see you"
Ella hid her worry behind a small smile, then they drove to their house.
"Make yourself at home, he will soon be here." Simon assured her.
She nodded at him and sat down, her hands fidgeted as she tried calm her racing heart.
"Oh he's here." Samantha smiled immediately she heard a car drive in.
"Mom. Dad." A husky voice called out.
Ella stood up immediately a young, tall and muscular man strode into the sitting room, her heart froze as she saw the beautiful young woman dressed in a short red gown, by his side, his hand was wrapped around her waist possessively.
"Cian Black, what did I tell you?" Samantha lashed, fury laced her voice, Simon placed a comforting hand on her quaking shoulders but his lips were pulled tight in anger.
"Why did you bring her with you? You knew we were bringing someone for you to meet?"
Cian shrugged indifferently, "You are the one bringing her here. I never agreed to that. Anyway, this is my girlfriend, Cynthia Stone, and possibly my fiancé."
"Oh you." Samantha stormed out of the room.
Simon stared at the young woman beside his son who was visibly smirking at Ella in triumph.
"Leave us"
"But I can't leave my boyfriend, I just got here" she pouted, a bit arrogant. Simon glared at her.
"Its okay babe. Go sit and wait for me"
"Okay sugar" she kissed him on the lips for a few seconds and left to go sit, crossing her long legs.
Simon gently beckoned to Ella. Slowly, with trembling, uncertain legs, she walked towards them.
"This is Ella Parker, our choice of a wife for you. Ella, this is my son"
Ella blinked, unsure of what to do, "Um...h...hello. Im Ella, nice to meet you" she mumbled, barely audible, she was too shy to meet his eyes so she stared at her heels instead.
"Dad, this is who I have to get married to?" his voice was thick with disbelief and laughter, she shrank into herself.
"She can't even look me in the face and judging from her behavior, she is clearly not up to my standards. No. I refuse to even think of spending my life with someone as timid as she."
The room fell silent and tears threatened to fall from her eyes.
"Can I please use the restroom?" She whispered and quietly made her way to where she was directed.
"I need to use the restroom too, let's go together"
She stiffened as Cynthia spoke with a smile.
