I heard Mr. Reginald says. By the time I went out from inside the house, the two of them were looking at Thalia's fetlock. I strode closer behind Scarlett and she kneeled down, checking the feet of her horse.

"The poor horse. It must be painful," Mr. Reginal said to Scarlett.
"Oh, dear. . . I didn't know. No wonder she's a bit uneasy today and she's slow. Oh, I felt bad. It must be difficult for her to carry me but she never complained."
Scarlett stood up and rubbed Thalia's face.
"I'm sorry, baby. I didn't know. . ." in her worried voice.
"Let me have a look," I said and kneeled down.

Thalia's fetlock on her right back is swollen. When I felt and rubbed it, she lifted it up. She never kicked me but I know it's hurting her.
