“Stop complaining.” Gru looks up at the sky.
“It's been raining all day. Lady Bleur didn’t leave the house again.”
“Why do we have to watch this replacement? Won’t the prince kill her after meeting her anyways? What’s the use of suffering here?”
“Be careful of your words. She is now the 3rd Prince’s fiance.”
“Says who? Does the Bleur family really think they are bigshots? I wonder what they will do when the 3rd prince visits the capital again to report.” he grabs his knife and looks at its shiny edge.

“Are you done?”

She rolls her eyes.
“So what? Go away. I’m sleeping.”
“You really…Nevada told me about you, demanding 200,000 gold from her. Do you really think you become a swan?”
She laughs.
“Oh? Are you done?”
“What is wrong with you? Did you think the 3rd prince will be your backer now and you look down at everyone?”
“????” She shrugged her shoulders.
“You yap a lot. You know you are the 5th person that came to me for Nevada’s sake.
Is she that stingy? Can’t let go of gold she scammed the 3rd prince?”
“How can you talk like this?”
“Umm…I don’t really care what you think but she doesn’t have to pay me if she just marries him.”
“Do you have no compassion for her?”
“None.”

“Do you have compassion for me?”

She laughs.
“Your biological sister is going to replace your precious Nevada with an engagement she enjoyed, uses and flaunts all her life that she amasses half a million gold worth of stuff. Have you considered what the prince…who was known as a cold blooded murderer in battle field, a man who kills using his bare hand does to a fake bride? In the Northern border where there is an active war, snow all year round? “ she raises a brow.
“But yeah, 200,000gold. Big deal.”
She turns around and smashes the door in his face.
“Hey, if that guy outside knocks the door again, throw some piss water to his face.” She shouted to the maids.
Aluka angrily steps forward but then hesitates.
Aluka came here after seeing Nevada cry because Chalice asked for her dowry. But if that money came from the 3rd prince ... .should she really bring those things to her future husband's house? Those are things his former fiance gave her. And since his sister is replacing Nevada, isn’t it just right for Nevada to give those gold up to show her sincerity?
Chalice is right. Life on the border is cold and harsh. And she will be replacing someone else to marry. Everyone knows how devoted the 3rd prince was to Nevada. Never forgetting to visit her when he is in the capital.

“Isn’t that money you owe the 3rd prince?”
Nevada turned pale.
‘It’s over…nobody wants to convince her..’
“If the 3rd prince wants…I will give it all back!”
“So you know that the 3rd prince is generous to you and hoping he won’t ask for those things?”
Nevada was stunned. Unable to speak. But she can’t say anything. She cried.
“How can you think of me like this? Is it because Chalice is your biological sister that you want to take her side?” She sobs.
Aluka’s face also paled.
“Chalice is my biological sister? Did you really say that?”
“Am I wrong? She wanted to get my things for free? Is she that thick face? But you all take her side!”
“You know I ask Chalice if she has compassion for you. I didn’t expect her answer to be a resolute no. I was mad. How can a sister think so little about her own sibling? Then she asks me if I have compassion for her. So I said yes. Cause that’s the correct answer. Because siblings should have compassion. But she asks me if aside from words…what have I done for her. Now I understand…not only you, she has no compassion for anyone in this family cause this family has no compassion for her either.”
Nevada forces herself not to roll her eyes.
“I don’t understand brother…So she really has no compassion for us.”

“After all this family has done for her she is cutting the bridge between us. This will divide our family. How can she do this!”
“The one who is burning the bridge is you. Because you can’t let go of something that is not rightfully yours. Pushing unwanted marriage to your sister. I have always considered you as a jade. Something I should take care of. I’m afraid to hurt your feelings. But in order to protect your gold, your interest, you don’t care about my feelings and doubt my intention. Then I will be frank with you. Give Chalice what she wants or marry the 3rd prince like you are supposed to do! The prince did not subsidize you because you deserve it but because you are his woman. Now that you want to pass this duty to someone else then the benefit should not be given to you too. And dowry? You said you will use those things as your dowry? Have you lost your mind? Nevada’s looks away. Ofcourse she knows. She can just resell those things. It’s already on her, how can she take it out and give it to someone else?
“You know, if other people know what you are doing…..how would the first prince look at you?”
He walks away seeing Nevada’s soulless expression.
Truthfully he also wants to discourage Nevada about the first prince.
He is notorious for going after the 3rd prince’s people. The reason why he has no chance to come after Nevada before is because of their father's help. But after hearing what happened to the 3rd prince, he is also weighing his options and allows the first prince to make a move.
But he was extremely disappointed with Nevada today. If their father doesn’t remind Nevada then he will also not remind her.
