And yeah, maybe trouble finds you, but it’s not because you’re weak. It’s because you’re strong enough to handle it. Not everyone can do that.” She looked at me, her blue eyes searching mine like she was trying to find the truth in my words. “What about you? You’ve been handling this life for a long time. Does it ever get easier?” I hesitated, tucking her hair behind her ears. “Easier? Not really. But it has its ups and downs. It’s not crazy every day, s**t will calm down. But you adapt to it.
