Laura Talon laid me down on the bed and I stretched lazily, taking in his form beneath heavy lids. He sat next to me, that same intensity in his green eyes that always made my stomach twist. His hands rested on either side of my head, caging me in, and for a moment, I thought he might kiss me again. But he didn’t. Instead, he straightened up and sat on the edge of the bed with his back to me. I propped myself up on my elbows, watching him.
