Talon Nothing like a 2 AM church session after a bloody ambush to make a guy feel alive. I stepped into the chapel, taking in the scene. The room was fuller than usual. Guys were packed around the table like sardines, bloody and tired. A haze of cigarette smoke hung low, curling around the overhead light like an omen. Jake took his seat at the head of the table, slouching back in his chair as I sat down next to him. The room fell into an uncomfortable silence as the weight of the night’s events settled over us.
