Kaden looked to his right where Jenna was standing with her back pressed against a tree and she nodded. He turned to his left, where Florian stood with his sword drawn, ready to storm the small clearing where a dozen of armed men paced around leisurely. The rest of their group was either sitting by the small fire they used for cooking or was sleeping in the tents they had put up around the hut they were guarding. The building itself was nothing special, a single-story building with small, boarded windows and wood that was starting to rot.
The door of the hut opened and a short, dark-skinned woman with thick brown hair in a braid stepped out, saying something to the guard standing nearby. The man grimaced but nodded, and the woman disappeared back into the building.
