"How is your body?" Kaden asked, his hands tightening around her. They had managed to find only one man willing to sell his horse, so they had no choice but to ride together. Kaden had insisted he could walk, afraid the horse might get spooked by him and throw both of them off, but Adeline reminded him they had no time to waste since there were still a lot of dangers lurking around them.
