The Alpha's Niece and Her Mate

Chapter 8

“You're beautiful in the moonlight” he says all while looking at me. “Can I kiss you?” he asks so softly that I almost didn't hear him. I just smiled shyly and blushed deeply while I looked at the ground. I couldn't look at him in the face. He took his finger under my chin to tilt my head up to face him. When I looked at him he was so close to my face I could feel the warmth of his breath.

I just stood there in this shirt staring at him in the moonlight. I couldn't move, it was like I was under a spell. Then he slowly leaned in to me and kissed me. It started out slow then he took one of his hands behind my neck and one wrapped around my waist to deepen the kiss and bring me closer to him.

I sat up with a start. It was just a dream. But it felt so real. I could actually feel his lips on mine and his hand on my lower back. Wow, now I need a cold shower. I didn't know how I felt about that dream or him but I know one thing: my body craved his touch.

I got up and went and took that shower got dressed in shorts and a tank top and flip flops and headed down for something to eat. I got my plate and a cup of coffee and sat down. As soon as I sat down I knew my day was going to get worse.

In walked maddison and her friends and they were talking about conor and how last night he went and spent the night with her. They didn't get much sleep and were talking about when they became Alpha and Luna. Then before I could finish my breakfast in the walking conor.

When he heard what she said he said nothing, just got his plate and sat down. He didn't say a word to me, just looked at me once, then put his head down and just pushed his food around his plate. Within a few minutes Renee and Adam came in, got food and sat with me. They were talking about training. 

“What's training?” I ask them. “It is where we train to fight and work out”. They answered. “We train in both wolf and human form. You should come and give it a try. Though you might want to start with the beginning stage. But you can always come and watch us.” Renee says. “Sounds like fun I'll ask Alpha '' I tell her. Conor just looked at me with this worried look on his face but then it was gone like it was never there.

I went and knocked on my uncle's office door. I wait till I hear someone come in. I walked in and as I went to sit I asked him about training. “That sounds like a wonderful idea.” he tells me. Then he tells me that he spoke to my grandmother on my mothers side. She wants to come and visit me. “Ok i haven't seen her since i was younger but i would like to see her” I responded. “Ok then i let her know. Now lets go i will take you to the training grounds.” he says

We walked out talking about how fun the party was. And how grateful I am for him. When we get to the training grounds he walks up and everyone moves to the side. He walks up to the front of the group and stops to face everyone. “Hello everyone as you know we have a new pack member. She just turned yesterday, however she has never trained. Is there anyone that will help her train and get her up to speed?” He addresses everyone.

A few random guys whisper that they would love to because I'm so hot. But my uncle heard them and well those guys had to train harder and longer. I laughed in my head stupid boys. Kenny stepped up but before he could open his mouth Conor said loud and clear”I will ''. Everyone was staring at him, not sure if they heard right. 

“Thank you Conor, '' my uncle said. “Well I'll let yall talk then yall can figure out the schedule that works for y'all.” he tells us and then he walks away. Madison asks Conor “Why would you offer to train her? She is a nobody and it will cut into our time together”. He just looks at her and shrugs his shoulders. 

Then he walked up to me and told me “Go sit down and watch the rest of the training and after that we will sit down and come up with a game plan.” “ok” so I sat there and watched them train. Some are wolves and some are humans. It was scary watching the wolf train. There was a lot of growling and a lot of jaws snapping. 

After everyone was done he headed over to me and sat down. He waited till everyone left so no one could hear him. “I wanted to know if last night was a dream,” he asked me. “What do you mean?” I ask. “I remember helping you with your shift and going for a run. I remember kissing you but the next thing I know I woke up in my bed alone. Was it just a dream?” he asks. “I don't know. I had the same dream. Why did you offer to train me?” i say “Because you are my mate and i don't want any other male to touch you.” he tells me.

I just looked at him and nodded. I didn't know what to say to that. “You have a girlfriend,” I told him. “She's not you. She will never be you.” he says. “I want only you. When she touches me I feel dirty and I want to shower. I can't tell anyone that you're my mate yet. I want to make sure you are safe. And until we find out who made the crash you're not safe. I will be watching you from afar and I will train you to be able to defend yourself.” he tells me. 

I was at a loss for words. But I understand how he feels. Because I feel the same. And I get that he is just keeping up appearances to keep me safe. I'm falling for him hard and fast. After we talked for a few minutes we got up and walked into the pack house. “I'm going to go get showered then i'll be back and we can eat dinner together and write everything down.” “OK” I say.
