The Alpha's Niece and Her Mate

Chapter 4

My friends were shocked that Alpha and Luna were my aunt and uncle. But they kept it to themselves. I also asked my aunt and uncle not to say anything. I didn't want people to look or treat me weird. They all agreed. So the next day I got up, got dressed and headed down to breakfast. As soon as I walked in I heard Adam go mate behind me. I froze. But he walked past and went straight to Renee.

I was so happy for my friend that she found her mate. I went to sit down with the couple. They couldn't believe that they were mates. Soon it was time to head to school. As we were walking out I bumped into Maddison. Big mistake. “Oh, I’m sorry,” I say. And kept walking. Next thing I know she is yelling at me.

“You should be nicer to me. As soon as Alpha steps down because he has no pups, Conor will be Alpha and I will be his mate so I will be Luna and I can make your life in our pack very hard.`` I heard her say. I just shrug my shoulders and keep walking. When we got into the car my friends were like wow. “No one has ever attacked like that.” Renee says. “Yeah she has been dating Conor since forever. Everyone says they are mates.” Adam says “and alpha and his parents have always said that conor will be alpha when alpha steps down that he will be alpha.”

“Well that is not happening because I am here now.” I told them. “I was told that as soon as I find my mate, my uncle is giving me the pack. But please don't say anything. I don't want to start any more problems.” “Ok” they say. 

On the ride to school I feel like someone is watching us. But I just shrug it off. I keep talking to my friends about school. When we get to school I see Conor staring at me. I just ignore him and keep walking. All day I kept having the feeling that I was being watched. And every time I look around I see him watching me. He just keeps looking at me. I do not understand him.

He has a girlfriend/mate why is he staring at me. “Hey Renne, have you noticed that Conor keeps staring at me?” I ask. “Maybe he needs help with his class work or something.” she says. “I guess.” I say. We keep going on with the day and after school we head home. 

That is how my whole week went. School and home with Conor staring at me the whole time. When Friday came around it was a relief. However it was short lived when Adam and Renee took me to the football game. I'm not into sports all that much. But I went with them and had a good time. Our school won. 

After the game there was a party. We went and there was alcohol. Renee said that it's ok the adults know and as long as we are on pack grounds that we are safe. So I'm sitting there drinking and watching everyone dance. I feel like someone is behind me, I turn around and there is a guy I have seen around. “Hi,” he says. “Hi back” I say. “My name is Kenny, you're new to the pack?” he asks. “Yes I am.” I replied. 

We sat there talking and drinking. Next thing I know I feel like I'm being watched. I know who it is so I don't look up, I just smile at kenny. Maddison walks up and makes a scene. “Why are you talking to my brother? You can't talk to him about anything but a low pack member, an Omega. You can't talk to the future Beta.” She says. She is so drunk. 

Kenny looks at me and says “I’m sorry” then tells his sister to stop being a b***h. Conor comes over and grabs her then takes her home. When I see him touch her I feel like breaking her in half. That was so weird. I'm not a violent person. I was told that the closer I get to my 18th birthday that I will feel like my emotions are going crazy. I'll go from 0-60 in .2 seconds.

Ok so Kenny stayed and hung out with me and we walked back to the pack house. He walked me to the door, said goodnight and then went to his room. I went to the kitchen to make a sandwich. As I was pulling everything out I didn't hear someone come in. I turned around and saw a very nice hard chest. I jumped back and dropped the mayo in my hand and grabbed my chest.

“Jesus, Conor, you scared the crap outta me.” I said looking at him. “What are you doing here?” he asked. “I was hungry so I thought I would make a sandwich. Do you want one?” I ask. “Sure,” he says. I got started making them and asked him if he knew where the chips werfe. So he went and grabbed us some. When I was done I grabbed 2 bottles of water and joined him at the counter and sat on a stool. We sat and just ate.

Then i asked him “why do you keep staring at me?” “I know who you are so I am here to keep you safe. It's my job. To protect the Alpha family with my life” he replies. I feel like he isn't telling me everything. When we are done I clean up our mess and he walks me to my door. I say goodnight and thank you. He puts my hair behind my ear and says no need to thank him.
