The plane quickly climbed into the sky, and the familiar city I was reluctant to leave faded below. Perhaps because of the mental energy I'd spent these last few days seeking solace from Orion, wavering about leaving and not getting a single night of restful sleep, the nearly 10-hour journey quickly lulled me to sleep. I slept deeply, dreaming of the days Orion and I spent at the orphanage. We were helpless then, but Orion still protected me like an older brother, making me unconsciously dependent on him, seeing him as my guide in life. I was awakened by the announcement that we were approaching our destination, the lingering warmth and happiness of my childhood dream still with me. At this moment, I felt a sense of relief.
