Dream Ends Nightmare Begins

Rohit soon started working on his plans. He planned his actions step by step:

Step 1: Improving the levity with Nina

For the first step, Rohit tried to talk to Nina as much as he could. This was the first time he was initiating conversation with Nina while she was avoiding any contact with him apart from work. When Nina would enter the elevator, she would find Rohit. When she is in the canteen, Rohit would be right behind her. When she would get ready to leave again she would bump into Rohit. This kept on for another 3 weeks.

Step 2: Spending more time with Nina

Earlier Rohit would cringe at the thought of spending more time with Nina. Now he was just grinning and bearing. Each day he would spend with her each day his hatred increased. He marked the total number of days he would be spending with her and kept crossing them out one by one. As each day Nina spent time with Rohit her love kept on increasing. But she chalked it up to order from Sam. She began dreaming of Rohit and soon even her nighttime was filled with his thoughts. The day Rohit took an unplanned leave, Nina's eyes were glued to the door with the expectation that Rohit would turn up any moment. When she saw him her heart did somersaults when she was away she kept thinking about him and even dreaming. Days were filled with him and so were the nights. Unfortunately, our hero is unaware of Nina's thoughts.

Step 3: Making Nina fall in love

Next step in the plan was to make Nina fall in love. This started with Rohit holding Nina's hands whenever he got the opportunity, brushing past her cheeks, touching her shoulders. This made her greed for more. She liked his touch, his presence, his voice, his smell, pretty much everything about him attracted her. Whenever Rohit touched her, her heart would thump so hard, she feared that she wouldn't be able to control herself and avoided him even more. Nina felt that this is all her imagination and that he is just being courteous.

One day Nina's system was not starting up. Rohit offered to help her fix it and worked on it. Having Rohit so close did not help Nina. She started sweating profusely and her hands trembled. Looking at her reaction, Rohit smirked and took Nina's hands rubbing them and blowing over them. This could be what one calls when cupid hits the heart. Nina then decided to hell with rules and that she would try to confess her feelings to Rohit.

Step 4: Date with Nina

Rohit: "I've fixed your computer. Now what can you give me?"

Nina: "What do you want?"

Rohit: "Spend 24 hours with me. Let's go on a date."

Nina: "Why me? Why now?"

Rohit: "Do you not like me?"

Nina: blushes as she replies "I don't hate you."

Rohit: "Do you have a boyfriend or parents to answer to? If yes, then forget it. I'll ask Melanie."

After saying that Rohit gets up to leave. Flustered Nina reaches out to hold Rohit back.

Nina: "I never said no. It's just that its my first time someone asked me out."

Rohit: "Actually I was supposed to go with my friends but they backed off with different reasons. Hence, I asked you. So its done. Tomorrow is Saturday and office is closed so spend your 24 hours starting 8:00 in the morning."

Nina: "Okay."

Next day 8:00 am Rohit and Nina are on their way to water park in Rohit's car. After spending 4 hours on the rides they are on their way to the movies. Movie selected was "Train to Busan". Looking at the genre of the movie Nina was relieved. They had light snacks during the movie. After watching the movie they were on their way to amusement park. After enjoying all the rides, it was now time for haunted house. After enjoying the entire day, Rohit and Nina drove to the city's edge and parked the car on the cliff to view the night sky and the sunrise next day.

Step 5: Kissing Nina

Rohit: "Can I try something that I want to?"

Nina: "Hmm."

Rohit reached out to Nina and pulled her in for kissing. He kept kissing her while changing angles and not letting her say anything. When Nina was out of breath, he started kissing her neck leaving hickeys and then it was back to kissing her lips. This went on till sunrise and Nina's face and neck was beet red. After watching the sunrise, Rohit pulled Nina in for a hug and whispered "This was the best time of my life" and bit her ears. Nina whimpered and could only hide her face on Rohit's neck.

Step 6: Spending the night with Nina at her place

This step was created based on the current office condition where teams were busy with loads of work and didn't even have free time for breaks. Rohit ensured that Nina and he got the same files and that they would have to continue working into the night. Nina completed one portion of the file and got ready to go home. Rohit followed suite. Soon both were at Nina's place. They ordered dinner and got to work. After toiling away work was finally completed at 3:00 am. After wrapping up:

Rohit: "Can I stay the night?"

Nina: "I just have a single room with a single bed with no space to sleep on the floor."

Rohit: "Don't worry, we can do this" saying that he pulled Nina and both fell onto the bed with Rohit hugging Nina and Nina on top of Rohit.

Nina: flustered "We can't do this...."

Rohit: "I have already kissed the daylights out of you and you're still shy." saying that he starts kissing Nina on the lips and neck and kept alternating.

Rohit: "You enjoy this and still push me away." He hugs Nina and continues "Let's just sleep and don't move."

Nina: "Why?"

Rohit takes Nina's hands and places it on his crotch and says "That's why."

Nina blushes and concedes. The entire night is spent with Nina on top of Rohit and Rohit's arm around Nina's waist.

Step 7: Proposing and asking Nina on a vacation

After spending many more such nights with Nina, Rohit dropped the bomb:

Rohit: "Nina, let's get married."

Nina: shocked "What????"

Rohit: "What is that expression that you're giving after everything we've done together???"

Nina: "No. It's just.... it's just that... Don't you think it's too early???"

Rohit: "It'a just that I want to make love to you right now and I am barely able to control myself. Asking you for a marriage is just me taking one step closer to my goal."

Nina: "Can you give me sometime to think?"

Rohit: "How come you never asked me for time during kissing and for marriage you need to consider? Don't tell me you love someone else and I was just a practicing doll?"

Nina: "What??? It's just that this is a life changing decision and I need to weigh the pros and cons."

Rohit: "If you don't want to marry just say. I will look for someone who is ready for me." gets up to leave when Nina says "Okay. I agree to get married to you."

Rohit: turns around and hugs Nina "Okay. Let's get married on the 18th, 19th we go on a 3-day vacation to Nora island."

Nina: "Hmm."

The 18th

Rohit and Nina are now married and have left their wedding hall on their way to honeymoon. The priest who officiated Rohit and Nina's wedding just stepped into the bathroom and out came James. That's right. The officiator was none other than James Johnson.

Step 8: Sleeping with Nina

Nina and Rohit were on the way to their vacation island. Nina still had her doubts but she brushed it aside thinking that it was just her who lived in age old tradition of keeping her virginity. Once they reached the island Nina was rushing to the bathroom. Rohit hugs her from the back and kisses and sucks on her neck:

Rohit: "Scared?"

Nina: "Mm"

Rohit: "Its okay. Let's just sight see and head back."

Nina: "The thing is that its my first time."

Rohit: "It's my first time too. I just want to make sure we don't have a pain filled wedding night. But if you're not sure we can stop. We can do this later." Saying that he released Nina and moved towards another room.

Nina panicked and held Rohit back.

Nina: "Can we do this slow? It's just that I heard that the first time is very painful."

Rohit: "Don't worry about it. I'll do it at your pace. Happy?"

Nina: "Hmm."

Rohit started kissing her and stripping her clothes and both fell on the bed. He made love to her multiple times like a teenager. Not allowing her to rest. By the time they stopped, it was early morning the next day.

After Nina finished freshening up, Rohit took her again and again and they kept going till dawn next day. Three days of vacation was filled with spurts of s*x, sleep and having meals. Rohit didn't understand why he couldn't keeps his hands off her. He wanted to feel her curves and taste every part of her body. It was like a drug which he couldn't stop taking.

After spending their honeymoon on Nora island, Nina and Rohit were in airport on their way home. When booking for cab, Rohit got a call. After the call ended, a frantic Rohit: "Nina, what to do? My brother just met with an accident. I'll go to the hospital, you go to your place and wait for me."

Nina: "Let me come along too."

Rohit: "No. He is in ICU. I will be switching with my sister and she will be busy with Gina. You need to take the luggage and settle down. I'll call you once I have time."

Nina: "Okay. Take care. Once I'm settled at home will come to hospital. Just mail me the hospital name."

Nina heads to her home and awaits Rohit's call. But after 24 hours of waiting, he didn't call. Her calls were not being answered. She was getting worried about Ramesh's condition and prayed for his recovery.

Next day, Nina reached office only to see Rohit, Ramesh, Tina at their respective desks and no sign of injury/accident on Ramesh.

Nina: "Ramesh, what happened? Why are you in office?"

Ramesh: "What do you mean? I'm here to do my work."

Nina: "But weren't you in the hospital in the ICU? How come you're all well now?"

Ramesh: "Who spouted that nonsense?"

Nina was shocked and looked at Rohit. Rohit looked at Nina and smirked.

Nina: "Rohit, what's going on why did you lie to me that Ramesh was hospitalized? What kind of prank do you play on your newly wedded wife?"

Rohit: "The horrendous joke ends here now. Darling, what makes you think that we are married?"

Nina: "What do you mean? You and I got married on the 18th and from 19th till yesterday we were on our honeymoon in Nora island."

Rohit: "Do you have any proof that we got married? Do you have a marriage certificate, a picture or any promissory note from me."

Nina: "No. But what about the priest who performed the ceremony. He'll surely remember me."

Rohit: "By priest do you mean..." pointing to the direction James was walking from in the garbs of the priest.

Nina: "Sir can you please verify that I am married to Rohit?"

James just removed the disguise revealing his true face.

Nina: "James. Is that you? Why did you disguise yourself as a priest?"

James: "You still don't get it b***h??? You're so f*****g stupid. What happened to you was revenge for what you did to Melanie."

Nina: "What I did to Melanie??? What did I do that was so wrong for me to deserve this?"

James: "Pretending to be innocent now? Remember when you threatened Melanie to stay away from Rohit. When you hit her with your cake. Do you want me to count more???"

Nina: "When did I threaten Melanie???"

James: "Do you think that a murderer will confess to murder without being caught??? You think everyone here is a fool. An ugly b***h like you stakes claim on a guy like Rohit."

Nina turns to Rohit with tears running down her eyes: "Tell me its not true Rohit and its just a bad prank you just pulled."

Rohit: "Take a look at yourself in the mirror and think, do you deserve anyone to love you? I need someone like Melanie to spend my life with. I can never wake up to your ugly face and love it. When I see your face in my sleep dreams turn to nightmare."

Nina grabs on to Rohit and pleads "Please don't do this. You know I love you very much."

Rohit: "Your love means absolutely nothing to me. You need to stop your delusions. Also, by the way, the 18th of the next month I'm getting married to Melanie and this will be an official wedding with the certified officiator."

Nina: "No you can't do this."

Rohit shakes off Nina's hands and leaves.

Tina who has been observing all this spoke "Don't you have some self-respect slut? Heard you call Melanie a slut and prostitute. Guess you are one right now."

Ramesh who was silent just left from there and left Nina crying on the floor.

Days passed. Nina was once again target of James' pranks. Sometimes she was drenched with bucket of water, sometimes coffee spilled on her, sometimes people would just dash across her causing minor body injuries.

On the 4th, Nina walked into Sam's cabin to discuss some files and to announce a life changing decision:

Nina: "So these files should be good, right?"

Sam: "Yes. Send it to Tokyo department heads and that's it."

Nina: "Sam. I'd like to resign." placing her resignation on Sam's desk.

Sam: "What?? Why??"

Nina: "You were right Sam. I just broke one of your rules. And now am paying the price for it."

Sam: "Can you please re-consider it? You're the best employee I've had till date."

Nina: "If I stay here, I won't be able to give my 100% to work. Please let me go Sam."

Sam: "Okay. I accept your resignation. Your last working day would be the 17th."

Nina: "Thanks so much." and she returned back to her seat.

Rohit, Ramesh, Tina and Melanie were busy preparing for the wedding. James' pranks on Nina reduced as he was in a bad mood due to Melanie's wedding. Everyday Rohit would be discussing about his wedding preparations making sure that Nina heard every word of it.

The 17th

Rohit was busy preparing for the wedding and this was the last day before his official wedding.

It was end of the day and Nina got ready to leave for the day.

Nina: "Rohit, can I ask you a last favor? After this I won't every trouble you or Melanie."

Rohit: irritated "What???"

Nina: holding back her tears "Can you please spend one hour with me? After this I will no longer trouble you or Melanie. Even if anyone wants me to acknowledge what happened between us I would deny this. Even if you were to beg and please I will not acknowledge anything between us."

Rohit: "So after I spend the one hour with you, you will not bother me or Melanie?"

Nina nodded.

Rohit: "Okay. Let's go. I have an early night as I need to wake up early tomorrow" thinking about his and Melanie's wedding.

Nina spent an hour buying things for which Rohit paid. At the end of the hour:

Nina: "Do you know what all things I bought?"

Rohit: "You wanted them so you should know. I have better things to do that to remember insignificant things like that."

Nina smiled pitifully. She now knew that Rohit never had even an ounce of goodwill towards her and his entire world revolved around Melanie. She forcibly pulled Rohit down and gave him a long kiss. After the kiss ended:

Nina: "This marks the end of you and me. Next time we meet, I won't even acknowledge you. Goodbye. This is my wedding gift to you." and she shoved a gift onto Rohit's hand and left.
