"They're going to act."
The words didn't surprise me. I already knew it was coming from the moment King Asher handed my affairs to Adrian.
I stepped out from behind Adrian before he could stop me.
Logan's eyes sharpened immediately, interest flashing across his face. Theo noticed too, his gaze flicking between us. Adrian didn't move to pull me back, but I felt the tension in him, like he was measuring whether to let this happen or shut it down.
Very well.
Let him watch.
"I'm right here," I said, meeting Logan's gaze directly. "So say it clearly."
I knew every word from this point forward mattered.
Logan's mouth curved slightly, not quite a smile. "Bold."
