  Mara's POV   Mara knew someone was coming when Logan stopped speaking mid-step.   Logan did not cut himself off unless something demanded his attention, and when it did, he never reacted loudly. He adjusted exactly the way he did now.   Mara didn't slow down.   She didn't need confirmation. She didn't need to turn. The interruption itself was already information, and she processed it the same way she did everything else—quickly, without wasting movement.
