  Selene's POV   They took me back to the room after Nadirah.   No detours this time. No pauses. Just the same door, the same space that was starting to feel less unfamiliar and more like something I was expected to accept.   I stepped inside without being told.   The door closed behind me gently.   Alone again.   I didn't move right away. I stood where I was, listening to the silence like it might say something different this time.   It didn't.   But I wasn't the same.   Nadirah's words stayed with me.   Control.   I exhaled slowly and walked further into the room. The ache in my side flared faintly, but it didn't stop me anymore. It didn't decide when I moved.   That was new.   I stopped near the table, resting my fingers lightly against it.   Everything here was controlled
