  Adrian's POV   Adrian knew his father hadn't called him there for conversation. King Asher didn't summon people to talk; which alone told Adrian everything he needed before he even stepped into the chamber.   Which, unfortunately, meant this wasn't going to be quick.   He didn't rush. There was no advantage in arriving faster, no benefit in appearing reactive. He walked in at a controlled pace, his expression neutral. Nothing about him suggested hesitation, but nothing about him invited challenge either. He entered exactly as he always did—unreadable.
