Chapter 5

I was currently helping the maids in the garden. The garden is the most beautiful place in this dark mansion. It's more like the beauty of a mansion. The garden was so huge but there were more than enough maids to water all the flowers here. "This one is my favorite," Masha, one of the maids said, while pointing at an odd-looking flower. "What is it called?" I questioned. "Chocolate Cosmos." "Chocolate?" I questioned and turned back to it. It has velvet deep red petals. You could tell it's rare to see such flowers. "Yeah, it's called chocolate because it scents like chocolate. It is one of the rarest flowers you could find." "Eve! Eve!" I turned to the direction the voice was coming from. It was Raina, she was running towards me. I walked my way to her, and we met halfway. Once she caught up to me, she leaned over and started breathing heavily out of breath. "What's wrong?" She couldn't speak, which wasn't helping with my impatience. "He's....he..." "Who? Wait, is Master calling me?" "No...." She stood up straight and finally got enough air to speak. "He's here." I scoffed. "Really? You had no idea my master was around today? He is always around on the weekends." "No! You stupid!" She yelled and looked around before moving closer to me. "Your mate, the Alpha." My eyes widened. "Where?" "Lounge, speaking with your master." I left her there and sprinted my way to the lounge. After some minutes, thanks to the huge mansion, I finally got there. I hid behind the wall and stare at them. It's been months. He finally came after months. I tilt my ears to hear what's going on. KILLIAN He gestured for me to take a seat. I did as we sat opposite each other. Saxon sat beside me. "To what do I owe this visit?" he leaned backwards and crossed his legs. I looked around, already getting annoyed by his presence. "You have a nice place," I complimented. Though I wasn't a fan of the red and black surrounding my entire house. He scoffed. He uncrossed his legs and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "You know damn well, we aren't friends nor do we plan to be. Go straight to the point." I turned my eyes to Saxon who nodded at me. I let out a sharp breath and turned back to the obnoxious prick. "Let's make peace?" I raised an eyebrow. He smirked and turned away. "You're such a joker, a funny one at that." He turned back to me and stared into my eyes, searching for my reason for being here. "Wait, a minute." He's eyes lit up and he leaned back. He smirked yet again but this time it was like he just figured it out. "I have something you want, don't I?" I couldn't answer that. It felt like the hardest thing to say. An enemy that has something I really need after searching for years. I looked away as I couldn't even meet his gaze. It had to be him of all freaking vampires. Well, it's not like I am friends with most vampires, just the peaceful ones. He chuckles again. "I do have something you need." He let out a laugh taking my silence as "yes". He clapped his hands together. Can I just kill him now? "I just wonder what that may be." "Someone. You have someone I want." "Oooh, it's a person." He leaned forward once again and rested his head on his hand, giving me an ear to ear smile like I just made his freaking day amazing. "Who might that important person be?" The room filled with silence as I let out the name. "Eve." The smile was immediately wiped off his face. His face went blank, like that was never a person he would have thought anyone would want. He snickered. "My slave?" "I'll give you anything you want in exchange for her." He leans back, yet again. "Wow, this is going to be fun." "We don't have to fight. Just hand her over and you'll get whatever you want, that's all. No fighting." I would have definitely fought if it was something I could easily win but unfortunately it isn't. Vampires are known to be stronger than werewolves. The last time I had a war with him was 2 years back and most of our man died more than his, two of our most strongest men died just after the war was over. We won but if it wasn't for them who died, we wouldn't have. When we won, I warned him to never disturb us nor kill our people again in exchange for sparing his life. But he doesn't know that two of our strongest men died that day, which is good because he would have used it to his advantage and even started an unnecessary fight. There is a chance we might still win but I'm afraid we aren't that ready yet. "Including your life?" He questioned. I clenched my fists tight, trying to hold my wolf back. I glared at him. He smirked. "What? That's not an option?" I need to tear him to shreds. "That's unfortunate. I guess our discussion is over." He stood up. "You should leave." "Vance!" He called. "Yes, boss." "Escort our guest out." With his hands in his pockets, he made his way out of the room. "Wait!" I called out. I stood up and turned to where he stood. He turned around to face me. "What about gold?" He scoffed. "Do I look like someone who doesn't have it all? Let's end it here, we already promised to never cross each other's paths again." He walked out. EVE I was quick to runaway before I got caught. I ran towards the back of the mansion and used the side outside of the mansion to think about what just happened. He declined. Ofcourse he would. This is definitely not going to be easy as I expected. Beside him being stubborn, he has such a big ego. I let out a sigh. I should quickly meet him before he leaves. I make my way towards the front which leads to the gate. I need to get to him before he left. He was my only hope after all. Just when the doors open, and he walked out, I ran to him and grabbed him on the wrist. The tingling sensation was back, but it wasn't the time right now. I was worried. Was this his only plan? Was this what he had been planning for months? It can't be right? Our eyes instantly met. "Eve." He called my name. I don't remember telling him my name, but I shrugged it off. "What are we going to do now?" "I'm glad you came." He said. "I had plan B." He suddenly pulled me into a hug with my head hitting his chest and our bodies colliding. His scent. It startled me for a while. I stood there shocked. He had quick reflexes even though it wasn't as fast as the vampires. He is my hope, the warm feeling I felt was giving me more reasons to stay strong, so I could see the better side of life with him in it. The joy of having your soul mate with you for the rest of your life. Assuring your safety and protection. Having someone who cares about you when no one's left to care. "You'll be out soon." He whispered in my ear. He pulled back and I stared into his eyes for a while. "You have to leave." One of my master's minions declared. He gave me a ghost smile before turning back and leaving with the man I remembered seeing in the forest when we first met. I went back into my room and sat at the edge of my bed. I was glad he had plan B, but I wonder what it was? I placed my hands in my pockets which were underneath my uniform. I felt something in it. A paper. When did I put paper in this pocket? I took out the paper and read it. "Be ready tomorrow at 12pm." -Mate My door suddenly burst open, and I was quick to hid the piece of paper underneath the bed with my foot. In less than a second, Raymond stood in front of me with his hand wrapped around my neck. "How does he know you?" He questioned. I kept my mouth shut, thinking of a suitable lie but it was hard to think of one with his neck getting tighter around my neck. "I asked you a question." "I......don't know." I managed to let out. He was squeezing the pipe out of me. It just got tighter. I can't tell him, no matter what. Apart from the unbearable pain I might receive after he found out I left the mansion, I'm afraid of the new bruises I would get on my back, fresh scars wanting to stay for eternity, I didn't want Alpha Killian finding me unattractive once he sees my back. The old scars were already almost faded. I don't want to be ugly for him. My eyes rolled back, I was slowly about to pass out due to lack of air. He smirked. "Alpha Killian wouldn't sneak in here for no damn reason and find you so you definitely went out. F!ckinh bitch." He throws me to the ground. I gasped, as I started coughing repeatedly, struggling to breath. "It's that day, wasn't it? The day you were acting strange and sweating than usual. I should have -" His eyes suddenly shifted to underneath my bed. My eyes widen. The paper. No, no, no, no! He shouldn't see it. He can't! My voice was useless right now to make up a lie or distract him. I quickly stood up and tried reaching for it before he does, but he noticed. Before I could even notice, the paper was already in his hand. He smirked as he read it. "Sneaky. Piece of sh!t." He squashed the paper in his fist. He walked towards my freighting body and bent to my height level, his face was a few inches away from mine. I couldn't stare into his eyes so he forced my chin and forced me. "Hey little puppy, here." My fear pooled eyes stared into his fearless ones. "Your little boyfriend has officially declared war." He unexpectedly bit on my neck, I yelled at the pain I wasn't expecting. I could feel it, the familiar feeling but this time, it felt like he was consuming more than usual, my legs were giving up. He holds my arms to keep me from falling. My eyes were rolling back yet again. He finally stopped and let go of me. I immediately fell to the ground on my back. My head hit the floor. I winced weakly. He squatted by my side. "I guess I have no work to go to tomorrow." He gently caresses my hair. "....and it seems you missed the basement." Hell. Who misses hell? That's where I got my fading scares. I guess I was headed there either ways. My head was pounding and my neck hurts. My eyes were slowly covering with black dots. He grabbed my wrist and stood up. My eyes slowly shut down as he leaves me on the ground wiping the floor with my body while he pulls me out of the room and towards the basement. I hope Alpha Killian has a plan C.
