Thursday - present day
Dont worry, you didnt miss anything. The past 3 days have been incredibly boring. Turns out I didn't fail my test. Got an 83 on it, I guess I accidentally paid attention and learned something in class.
Im not telling my parents about the party this Saturday. All that would do is put me under an interrogation. I'll tell them I'm spending the night at a friend's house or something. I usually don't do this type of s**t but it's senior year, i can't end my highschool years without having at least a little fun.
I text Ezra to see if she can help me set up the lie to tell my parents.
Me- hey, I need a favor.
Ezra- anything! What's up?
Me- I need you to meet my parents and tell them we are having a sleep over on Saturday.
Ezra- but the party is on Saturday...
Me- girl...
Ezra- ohhh, got it got it lol
Me- great, come over tmr for dinner?
Ezra- yea, 6?
Me- that should be fine
Lets hope for the best. I go downstairs to ask my parents if Ezra is able to come for dinner tomorrow night. My mom is doing the dishes, it's the perfect time to help dry them while asking. Can't just ask her and expect a yes without helping out a little.
"Hey mom. Need some help?" She accept my offer and I grab a towel to start drying and packing away the dishes while I'm trying to figure out what to say. Maybe just start a casual conversation...
"So mom, I made a friend at school" yeah, that should do it.
"Did you? What's his or her name?" I tell her Ezra and that i met her about a week or so ago. maybe I could get her to come up with the idea to invite her to dinner tomorrow on her own.
"Oh that's nice, would love to meet her. Maybe have her over for dinner one night" great, getting closer...so I add "that sounds great! What about tomorrow night?" She says that it shouldn't be a problem.
Mission accomplished.
