Taking a moment to observe her, I can't help but notice her captivating beauty. Her dark tan complexion indicates a sun-kissed glow, while her curly brown hair frames her face in an effortlessly stylish manner. Her hazel eyes hold a certain depth, reflecting her youthful charm.
Expressing genuine concern, she apologizes for the collision, acknowledging that I seem to have taken a hard hit. Assisting me in standing up, she inquires about my well-being. With a lighthearted response, I assure her that I am fine, letting out a gentle chuckle. In truth, the impact did cause some discomfort, though I choose not to dwell on it. I am impressed by her sturdy composure throughout the incident.
Introducing herself as Ezra, she extends her hand towards me. Firmly grasping it, I reciprocate by sharing my name. Engaging in a conversation, she notices the items in my basket and curiously asks if I am on my period.
Politely correcting her, I explain that the items are for my sister. Her eyes widen with surprise, and she exclaims, "OMG, are you expecting??” As I heard the question, a wave of surprise washed over me, causing my eyebrows to raise and my eyes to widen. However, I couldn't help but find the question amusing, and a genuine laugh escaped my lips.
The combination of surprise and laughter painted a picture of my spontaneous and lighthearted reaction to the unexpected inquiry. "No way! I'm definitely not pregnant! Why would you even think that?" she vehemently denies, feeling the need to explain the peculiar snack combination of peanut butter and pickles, which is often associated with pregnancy cravings.
However, it's not for me; it's for my sister. You see, she tends to have unusual cravings during her period as well. She stops and looks at me with a curious look "Wait, arent you in one of my classes?" She looks about my age so theres a possibility. "Im not sure, i just moved here so i don't know anyone"
"RIGHTT! You're the new girl." She mentioned she doesn't have many friends at school either, for us to meet up at lunch tomorrow.
after we finish talking, we go our separate ways. I gather the remaining items on my grocery list and make my way back home.
