Tessa’s sudden departure was felt throughout the room. I could see Lucian itching to follow his Luna. Luckily Mrs. Henderson is always a gracious host, even if she isn’t in her own home.
“Go. Go on, Alpha. We’ve got this.” No one else could speak to my brother that way but her. She was the kind of mother ours used to be, now she’s sitting her just a shell of her old self. At least she wasn’t drinking.
“If you don’t mind. Will you all excuse me?” Lucian was already moving towards the door, not that anyone would defy their alpha. All heads were bowed in submission. “Great. Awesome. See you all later. Thanks, Momma Henderson!” We heard him yell back but he was already long gone, following Luna’s scent.
