AZURE Darkness seethed with life, slimy threads of awareness writhing across the marble surfaces of my grand hallway. They constantly spoke, relating ancient secrets and new betrayals, a chorus of threat, promise, and violence that never ceased. I'd learnt to read their words years ago. They never lied. I rested upon my stone throne, carved from such an ancient rock that it wept in despair, situated above the eye sculpture on the throne. This fortress was no home, it was a nightmare citadel hammered out in conquest and born in abominations.
