Chapter 8 - Instinctual mate.

AIDEN

It was dark already when I stopped in front of the mall. I returned late from work today because of the heavy traffic and I needed some cereal, shiraz and some snacks with a couple of cakes which I'll just have for tonight as dinner.

I've been shopping for myself ever since my former maid, Kath died in an accident.

Most times I just find myself in a restaurant to have some meal when I don't feel like cooking.

My rejected mate, Silvia used to do the shopping for me.

Just don't call her name. My wolf, Daren said. He liked the name once he heard it at a conference I attended in Los Angeles and took to it, wishing I call him by that name.

You insisted then that she was ours not until it backfired. I yelled into his face as I opened the double doors to the mall.

Yeah, I did but she screwed us. So please don't talk about her. Daren hissed and walked further into the dark corner of my mind.

I ignored him and went straight to the snack part and chose my choicest brands.

After shoving all I needed into the basket, I walked straight to the counter to pay. As I was placing the items on the scanning machine, I heard whispers from the females behind the counter. "Oh my God! Its him! Its Aiden Blake!" One of them shouted.

I looked up to find two pairs of charming eyes searching my skin. They were two lovely ladies. One of them scampered towards the drawer behind them and pulled a book. She rushed towards me, it was two books actually.

"Can we get your autograph?" She said while fluttering her lids. Do I need to say no? Recently, I've toped the lists of the richest bachelors with a net worth of four hundred billion. Admired by many, I usually find myself in scenes like this maybe for an autograph or selfies. Though its becoming a bit clingy of these admirers, I'll do well to get myself some security. Only if they knew... Am a werewolf and a freaking s*x starved male, nevertheless Tom's ladies are filling that gap a bit but my wolf needs a mate - maybe I do too.

I quickly signed the papers and paid my bills. I was about to leave when the duo rushed towards me over again. Damn! Won't they let me go? "Selfie." I joined the two. They were standing on both sides and I did well to cross my arms over their shoulders as we took the shot. "Thank you." They said when we were done and I nodded finally exhaling.

I felt relief surge through my nerves as the cold air struck my face when I got outside. My fans are just endless, always at every corner in the whole of the country. I put the items I got into the trunk and walked to the driver's part of my favourite sports car.

I sensed another presence as soon as I got into the car. Her scent, she's here. The infidel is here! To do what? Without turning to her, I asked. "What are you doing here?" I felt my teeth clench with anger and my hands tightly gripped the steering as if to crush it.

"I came to see you." Silvia said and I turned to turn her. Anger flushing through my cheeks. "Why do you want to see me? Does your mate know about this?"

Hit the b***h already! Stop talking to her! Daren growled as soon as he sighted the mark on her nape, something that infuriates him the more.

"He died..."

So? Daren said .

"So?" I asked.

"In a pack war. The alpha of Bezos pack killed him and took the weak wolves of the pack as his work slaves. I barely escaped."

How is that our business? Daren growled.

"How is that our..." I gulped. Ah! I won't repeat what this wolf is saying. "How is that my business?"

Stop making me repeat what you're saying! I yelled at Daren in my mind.

You chose to repeat what I said. Can you get over this b***h so we can go? Daren grumbled.

Just shut up. I got this. Let me do the talking. I said and he sat grumbly.

I focused on Silvia who I guess was finding words to answer my last question. "Answer me Silvia!"

She quickly flung her hair backwards to reveal the other bare part of her neck. OK - I understand.

"Mark me Aiden. Am back for you. Make me yours."

Lava pumped through my blood making my blood boil in anger. My muscles tensed. This b***h rejected me few years back but decides to return to me once her mate who she chose over me died as what? A second chance mate? A f*****g alternative? Even the moon goddess would curse her soul for being such a slut.

"Silvia can you get off my car?" I said sternly without even looking at the pulsating vein waiting to be bitten on her neck. She can't use me that way. Am not her f*****g toy.

"Please Aiden. Am sorry..."

"So now you are sorry? Huh? You left me Silvia for another because he's a f*****g alpha! And now he's dead, you want me back! I don't want you back. Go find another infidel like you to get your ass filled. I have a mate already!" I lied and I heard Daren grumble. Pretty fast lie. But I need to get Silvia off as soon as possible. She's the clingy type and I don't want her around me anymore.

"That's a lie Aiden. I asked Noel before I came to meet you. You don't have a mate..."

"Since when do I share my personal life with Noel? He's a human and he doesn't know about mating matters."

"He knows more than you can think of. I practically told him everything and that's more of the reason he wants to became like us so he'll have a forever loyal mate."

"Good Silvia. Really good. Even if I don't have, huh! I'd rather f**k a horse than have you back into my life. Now get out before I lose it!" My wolf pushed out at this instant and almost jumped at the shocked Silvia but I managed to control him. I can't kill her right in my car. "Don't ever come back."

I heard her open the door and walk out of the car. She bent to the window to say something. "I regret my actions and I just hope you'll come back for me. Nevertheless I'll be around to have you back."

"I am not interested in you anymore." I made sure to draw out the word before starting the engine and shooting into the road. That girl is mad, really mad. What does she take me for? A refuse container that accepts every piece of used s**t because am waiting to be full! I hit the steering. "Damnit!"

Just kill her the next time you see her. Even Daren, the mate obsessed wolf can't accept her back. As far as am concerned she can go to hell!

I swerved to the other lane and crossed over to the bushy path that leads to the beach. Silvia's return has unchained the lust I've been struggling over the weeks to subdue given I've been avoiding Tom's harem. I continued down the lonely paths until I arrived at the abandoned path where Tom's harem is located. No one would believe such nice colourful house has pretty ladies willing to be f****d so they can get their pay from Tom - used as a s*x club.

I got off the car and walked straight to the building, past the rows of security that Tom had employed. As soon as my legs hit the tiled floor, my wolf perked up with great interest unlike him ever since I started coming to the harem. He hated the idea of having me f*****g other ladies that are not our mate.

What's wrong? I asked when I noticed his uneasiness.

Our mate. I can feel her. Daren said looking through my eyes to search the room filled with nude ladies in their hot strip tease. I quickly lost interest in them as soon as Daren mentioned our mate. Mate? His instincts got us into heart break the last time, remember?

You said that before and what did it get us? Heartbreak. I said and walked round to the other side to where Tom was standing.

Instincts. I swear I can feel her. Daren continued.

Is she among any of those ladies? I asked while scanning he room with my eyes.

None of them. Ask Tom if he has more. The goddess gave us another chance, so we shouldn't slack in finding our second chance mate. Daren said almost jumping around with excitement.

Just shut the f**k up. I clenched my teeth before finally getting to Tom who had a glass of wine in his right palm.

"Hey man! Its been long." He called as soon as he saw me and I gave him a smile. We shook hands. I turned to the room again maybe I could find the mate but Daren was silent. There were other males in the club room riding the ladies they want already, am busy looking at Daren's face for answers. He couldn't find the mate. I didn't even trust his instincts fully, he might as well get us into another round of heartbreak as well.

"What's wrong? None of them makes you horn?" Tom asked and I turned back to him.

"Yeah. They don't make me rise."

Ask if he has more and stop beating round the bush! The impatient Daren growled and I almost shouted back at him but Tom spoke up.

"You can try them, they know most of our regulars' styles. You can f**k them."

"Do you have new ones?"

"Emm- actually. I got a new girl recently, she's sexily hot but I want her to myself for now. I'll get you another by tomorrow if none of these ones meets your taste. Just tell me your style and I'll find them."

"I'll pay you double the amount. Just..." I gulped. It isn't what I'll do first actually but I have to say it at least to persuade Tom to get her for me. See if Daren will recognize her. "Just let me f**k her for tonight."

"Come on man. She's a gem I wish to explore totally first. Check..."

"Three times the amount. I'll pay you three times the amount. Just let me have her tonight." I gulped. This is something I've decided to leave behind. Can't believe am back here, negotiating to f**k a girl - actually not to f**k her, to confirm if she's my mate.

"OK, alright. Just for tonight." I nodded. "I'll get her for you. Choose your room. I don't want the others to see her just yet."

"Get her to my favourite. I'll be waiting right there." Tom walked off after that. Money minded Tom, give him money and you'll be in his good books. I sighed.

Daren you better be right. I walked towards the rooms at the other end, ignoring the loud music from the stereo in the background.
