Lynne’s POV: As we were leaving the police station, we ran into a tall, strong officer in his thirties with a healthy complexion. Aaron waved to him. “Thanks, Charles. Lynne is fine now.” ’Charles?’ I froze for a moment. ‘Could this be the same Charles I had only heard about but never met?’ Before I had the chance to thank him in person, Charles flashed a smile and waved at Aaron before heading into the office building.
