Fiona’s words left me conflicted. I bit my lip in thought before finally nodding. “Alright, since we once were a family.” Though honestly, this mother-in-law was incompetent.
“That’s wonderful, Lynne! I’ll be waiting for you at the Seattle Restaurant with Esther. Oh, Lynne, I love you so much!”
Fiona was still rambling on the line, but I ended the call and turned to Aaron. “Can you come with me to dinner?”
Aaron didn’t even hesitate. “Of course. Don’t forget, I’m still your contract boyfriend.”
