“But I disagree.” Cynthia looked at Aaron with red, teary eyes. “Why should an outsider suddenly replace my position? Mr. Scott, I’ve worked with you for a long time, and you’ve always been satisfied with me, but now... this isn’t fair.”
Saying that, she reached out her hand, trying to latch onto Aaron’s arm, but he pushed her away with visible disgust.
“Lynne will do better than you, I believe in her,” Aaron said coldly. “And Cynthia, don’t blame me for not warning you in advance—we’re just colleagues, don’t read too much into it.”
Cynthia lowered her head, and it was obvious to anyone that this woman had feelings for Aaron, even attempting to seduce him.
