Ariel's POV
Taking a few steps toward the elevator, it opened and Catherine was already in it.
Without saying a word, I got into the elevator and pressed the floor where the boardroom was situated.
"Ma'am." Catherine cleared her throat.
"Yes." My head was upright.
"I was, uh... coming to tell you that Mr. Garfield was still in the boardroom."
"Did he send you to remind me?"
"Not at all... I just felt it might..."
"I know he owns forty percent of the company, Catherine. I can handle him." I sounded confident, but I didn't have an idea of what I was going to do.
This was a huge mess.
If I had known that I wouldn't only meet Matt, but that he was going to own forty percent of the company, I wouldn't have come back.
I would have just gotten another apartment in Australia.
