Time flies by when we are not paying attention. I graduated from university with a Master’s Degree in English Literature. I also obtained my secondary school teacher’s license. There was no teacher surplus back when I was getting into the profession, but there were a lot of qualified and experienced English teachers. I enjoyed my college years in Cincinnati, but I was definitely a country boy at heart. I tried extensively to snag an English teacher’s position in the smaller secondary schools in the quieter towns but was not successful, so I grudgingly settled for one in Cincinnati.
