On our way back to the house to share our fantastic news with my parents, I mentioned that it made more sense to me that we schedule our wedding during summer vacation instead of sometime during the school year. “Do you prefer this summer, or would you rather wait until next summer?”
“Do you want to wait another year before we enjoy all of the pleasures of married life?”
“Not really, I must admit.”
“Good, I second that motion. I only want a small wedding with close family members so it will not be too difficult to organize that for this summer. All of my Kentucky ancestors have been married in our little nondenominational church in Horseshoe Bend Township, and I hope you will agree to my wish to continue that family tradition.”
