I sat on the bed with the woman beside me. I stared at her is eyes and I could see she was weary.
“What is your name?” I asked her.
I wanted her to ask me first but she didn’t, maybe because she is was tired exhausted and she was in pain. She just doesn’t want to talk to me because she was shy.
“My name is Andie,” she answered.
“It’s nice to meet you, Andie. I am Avyana and I am also a witch like you,” I said with a beam on my lips.
I wanted her to be comfortable with me because we are both equals. No one rises above us, as we are not part of a monarchy of humans. Where there are commoners, nobles, and wealthy people.
“It’s nice to meet you too. And thank you for saving me.”
I shook my head as she doesn’t have to be thankful because it is my duty
