Adam only chuckles in reply.

Someone knocked at the door

" May I come, Alpha," Gwen asked in a low voice.

Gwen entered through the door but didn't dare to meet my gaze. He was looking down.

Gwen, notify Augustus's family about his death, and if they ask how he died then tell them that he died in a rough attack while patrolling."
