Chapter Fourteen

1331 Words
* Miles POV * I woke up to an unexpected and delightful situation - tangled between two girls, a smile automatically spread across my face. My initial thought was, "Ah, my life is good." But, the moment of contentment was short-lived as my brother Jax invaded my thoughts through our mindlink. Jax's message was urgent, "Bro, come out quick! Brett has a girl in his room, but he is sneaky." Unable to resist such a juicy piece of gossip, I leapt out of bed, leaving the two girls with a promise of another time. I rushed to Jax's side, and together, we barged into Brett's room, only to find it empty. Brett, caught off guard, yelled at us to get out. I couldn't help but tease him, saying, "Don't come into mine unless you want to be hit with the smell of multiple orgasms." I chuckled, and Brett, playing along, replied, "Eww," although I knew he secretly loved the attention. Afterwards, Brett dashed off without saying a word, leaving us both confused and intrigued. "He's definitely had someone in there, Miles. I bet my life on it," Jax said, unable to contain his excitement. A sudden question popped into my mind, "Why's he hiding it, though?" Throughout the day, Jax and I couldn't help but speculate about Brett's secret visitor. With each passing hour, our curiosity grew stronger, and we devised various ways to uncover the truth. Brett, on the other hand, remained tight-lipped. As the sun began to set, casting an orange glow over our pack house, Jax and I hatched a plan to dig deeper into Brett's mystery. We decided to create a diversion, something that would lure Brett out of his room and give us a chance to snoop around. I pretended to receive an urgent message from one of the girls I had left behind that morning, claiming she had left something important in my room. Brett, being the curious guy he was, couldn't resist the opportunity to tease me about my supposed love life. As expected, he sauntered out of his room, a smirk plastered on his face. "Oh, Miles, Miles, Miles... always getting tangled up in something," he said, chuckling. Jax and I exchanged a quick glance, and I nodded subtly. It was showtime. While Brett was busy grilling me about my morning escapades, Jax snuck into his room, searching for any clues that might reveal the identity of the mysterious visitor. I kept Brett occupied, regaling him with made-up stories of my alleged conquests, all the while keeping a watchful eye on Jax. After a few minutes of banter, Jax emerged from Brett's room, a mischievous glint in his eye. He mouthed "found something" to me, and I knew we were onto something. As Brett began to lose interest in our conversation, I made a hasty excuse, claiming I had to attend to a "personal matter." Brett raised an eyebrow, but let us be, probably thinking I was off to pursue another romantic conquest. As soon as we were out of earshot, Jax spilled the beans. "Dude, I found a strand of long blonde, curly hair on his pillow. It's definitely not from anyone in our pack, im sure," he whispered, his voice trembling with excitement. My mind raced with possibilities. Who was this mysterious girl, and why was Brett going to such great lengths to keep her a secret? We spent the rest of the evening speculating, our imaginations running wild with scenarios. Was she a teacher's pet? A secret admirer? Or maybe even a girl from a rival pack? The possibilities were endless, and our curiosity was at an all-time high. I decided to change things up and go for a run in the woods. I had a sudden urge to connect with nature, so I laced up my running shoes and headed out the door. This time, I decided not to "shift" as I usually do during my solo runs. As I jogged through the woods, I felt a sense of freedom and peace. The rustling of leaves and the sound of my own breathing created a soothing rhythm. I must have been running for about an hour when I decided to take a quick break. As I stood there, catching my breath, I noticed a familiar figure in the distance - it was Mauve, that human girl from school. I decided to catch up to her and jog alongside. "Morning Mauve," I greeted her with a smile. "Oh hey... Brett," she replied, a hint of confusion in her voice. I realized she had mistaken me for someone else, my brother, but I decided to play along. "So, where are we running to?" I asked, turning to face her while jogging backwards. She simply rolled her eyes and continued running. We carried on in silence for a while until I tripped over something and landed on my ass, causing me to put my hand over my face in embarrassment. Before I knew it, Mauve was by my side, checking to see if I was okay. I decided to seize the opportunity and grabbed her, flipping her onto her back. I straddled her, looking down at her with a mischievous smile. "Get off me," she giggled, trying to wriggle out from under me. As I looked at her, I thought about how sweet her laugh was. I had never really talked to her before, but I was enjoying our playful banter. "This is déjà vu," Mauve said all of a sudden. "I'm sure we've done this yesterday." That's when it hit me – she must have thought I was Brett, the guy who had been sneaking around with her. I couldn't believe it – this hypocrite was telling everyone to stay away, and yet here he was, spending time with Mauve. I decided to teach him a lesson. I mindlinked my brothers and told them to meet me in the woods by the tall willow tree in twenty minutes. As I continued to tickle Mauve, she kept laughing and trying to fight me off. But she eventually got the upper hand and rolled me onto my back. She sat on top of me, looking down at me with a playful smile. As I looked up at her, I couldn't help but notice how attractive she was. I felt a twinge in my pants, and I think she noticed too because she jumped off me rather awkwardly. I couldn't wait to see the look on Brett's face when he realized what was happening. This was going to be interesting. Mauve, with a burst of energy, started jogging, trying to run away from me. I watched her lithe figure moving further away from me, a smile playing on my lips. I decided to play along and began to jog after her. Her laughter filled the air, echoing through the forest, and I couldn't help but join in. It was infectious, and I found myself chasing after her with renewed vigour. She was fast, but I was determined, and I soon caught up to her. Mauve held up her hands in a surrender gesture as I pinned her gently against a tree. Our eyes met, and I couldn't resist the opportunity to whisper close to her ear, "Gotcha." I added a cheeky grin for good measure. Mauve's blush was adorable, and I couldn't help but take my chance. I pressed my lips to hers, and to my surprise, she didn't deny me. Instead, she kissed me back, more passionately than I could have imagined. Her little moan in my mouth only added fuel to the fire, and I found myself lost in the moment. However, our romantic interlude was cut short by a sudden growl coming from behind us. "Gotcha, Bro," I said over mindlink, smiling as I turned to face the source of the noise. I was grateful for the interruption, as it allowed me to keep some semblance of control over the situation.
