Jax's POV I sit by her bedside, and I can't take my eyes off her. Her skin is pale and cold, I hate myself for letting this happen. We're a bunch of f*****g idiots for letting her run, I should have listened to Brett, I should have never let her go to the bar by herself. "Why did you leave?" I say. She's silent. I continue "We should have protected you, we should have done better." Tears begin to fall down her cheeks. "Mauve, please don't cry." I say grabbing her hands, she lets out a sob.
