She giggled again as Kevin stooped with his butt pointed to the bed and rummaged through drawers till he found his clothes. He pulled his underwear on as quickly as he could. When he turned around, Diane had the covers lifted up at the side. The upturned sheet divided her into shadow and purple light. Despite the amused smile she still wore from laughing at him while he dug for his clothes, Kevin felt a sudden and pure appreciation for being graced with her company for the evening, and now, for being permitted to join her in her bed.
