I dial Emily’s number, and she answers on the first ring.
“Hey, sis,” I say, a hint of amusement in my voice.
“Hi sir, how can I help you?” Emily replies, With her tone playfully. “What can I do for you?”
“You can drop the formalities, it doesn't suit you.” I said laughing.
Emily’s laughter echoes through the line. “Whatever, why did you call me?”
I chuckle. “You sound like I don’t call you at all,”
“Well that’s because you don’t, I’m surprised you have my number. You only call the office line when it’s about business and our conversations are mostly about business,” she said.
“Stop being dramatic, you’re even on my speed dial miss,” I said, rolling my eyes.
