I step out of the club, the cool evening air enveloping me as I begin my walk home. My mind replays the conversation with Emily, our manager, a mix of emotions swirling inside me. I wonder if she would consider my request. I mean she even suggested I see a doctor.
I couldn’t read her expression earlier. She seemed to be good with masking her emotions and before I could get anything out of her the man in a suit came in and interrupted our conversation.
