I walked through the VIP lounge, my high heels clicking on the marble floor. The room was filled with important clients, all of them sipping champagne and laughing with each other. I had been working non-stop for hours, but I couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness inside. I felt like I was just going through the motions, serving clients after clients without any enthusiasm.
As I delivered a bottle of champagne to a table of wealthy businessmen, I couldn't help but think about what had happened in the red room.
