A Maybach slowly pulls into Whitmore’s Plaza and stops in front of the luxury store.
“Mrs. Whitmore, good afternoon.”
The mall manager immediately greeted her, with uniformed sales clerks standing behind her.
Sophie nodded slightly and casually handed the Hermes crocodile bag to the welcoming clerk.
Lily had never seen this kind of battle before and stood half a step behind Sophie.
She was wearing a few hundred dollars’ worth of clothes, which looked out of place in this luxurious space.
The manager’s gaze landed on Lily, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, but professionalism made him quickly return to smiling.
The door to the VIP room slid open noiselessly.
This nearly one hundred square feet of space was a private shopping salon designed for top customers.
Lily abruptly widened her eyes and looked around, unable to close her mouth in surprise.
It turns out that rich people shopping is like this, and they don’t even need to meet up with ordinary customers.
Sophie took her reaction in her eyes and the corner of her mouth rose slightly.
“Are all the new seasonal products ready?” She sat down on the main seat of the sofa and spoke slowly and methodically.
“Uh, all ready.” The store manager, dressed in a professional suit, half squatted and slid the tablet screen.
“These are all the new products of the season, and have been screened according to your needs.”
Sophie took the tablet handed to her by the store manager and slid her fingers casually on the screen.
Lily watched Sophie’s movements and quietly mimicked them, trying to look fluid.
Sophie sidled up, “Lily, just pick which ones you like and have them delivered later.”
“Wow, all these dresses are so pretty.” Lily was instantly intrigued.
But when she glanced at the price on the tag, she instantly sucked in a breath of cold air.
“This is too expensive.”
A random skirt was in the five-figure range, and there were even six-figure ones.
Isn’t it just a few pieces of fabric?
Sophie smiled lightly, “Alex asked me to bring you out, just to add some clothes for you, the price doesn’t matter, as long as you like it.”
Lily’s heart was dripping blood.
It always felt like a betrayal that she was spending her brother’s money.
Besides, she didn’t want to, and probably would let this man-child pay for it, and that was even less for her to spend.
Struggling inside, Lily’s eyes fell on the dress and accessories Sophie was wearing.
This one looked expensive, especially the diamond necklace around her neck.
“I’ll take this one then, and this one ...... ” She changed her timidness from earlier and ordered a dozen dresses on the tablet.
“Okay.” The store manager gave a wink to the assistant behind him and immediately made arrangements.
In less than ten minutes, eight sales clerks appeared in a line.
Pushing pulley hangers came along with the dresses she had just chosen hanging on them.
Lily couldn’t wait to get up, “I want to try this one on.”
Sophie sat on the couch, elegantly sipping the tea in her hand as her eyes swept to the fitting room.
A few minutes later, Lily wriggled out of it.
Her fingers tightly gripped the hem of her skirt, her voice as small as a fly, “It doesn’t seem to fit well.”
The dress was very similar to the one Sophie was wearing, and Lily had chosen it on purpose.
However, Sophie has a full bust, a slender body, a pair of long legs that are thin and straight, and a smooth and nice silhouette, so she looks good in anything.
Looking at this dress alone, it was actually quite ordinary.
Now that it was on Lily, the low neckline looked empty on her flat chest.
Her figure simply couldn’t support such a style.
Lily tugged at the hem of the dress, trying to make the damn low neckline look less ridiculous.
Sophie put down the cup of tea she was holding and got up to walk over to Lily, her fingertips skimming over her shoulders, stopping at the shoulder line.
“It’s quite nice, just needs a little tweaking.”
She gave the store manager a look.
The store manager understood and immediately stepped forward to help with the adjustment.
“No need!” Lily suddenly refused, “I don’t think this dress suits me very well.”
After saying that, she turned around and rushed back to the fitting room to change.
Sophie suddenly spoke, “You’re right, fit is most important, don’t force it if it doesn’t fit.”
“Maybe it looks good on her, but it doesn’t necessarily suit you.”
Speaking here, she let out a light laugh, “But the good thing is that it’s just a skirt, it doesn’t fit, changing it is, no big deal ...... ”
Lily lurched to her feet and jerked around to stare at the stunning face.
She knew the woman was warning her.
Sophie nodded and changed the subject, “I think there are a couple of dresses that would suit you, try them on later.”
Lily gritted her teeth, turned and stormed into the fitting room, slamming the door heavily.
“Bang!”
The sales clerks present looked at each other in disbelief.
For the next hour, Lily was bursting with shopping desire, buying whatever fit.
From clothes to accessories, to bags and shoes, the buying was so sound.
Sophie was observing the whole process, drinking tea and flipping through fashion magazines, anyway, it was Pei’s money that she spent.
Although she is a canary in the Whitmore family, enjoy the Whitmore family’s honor and wealth, but can not get a penny.
After all, the financial power is in the hands of her mother-in-law-to-be, Catherine.
She only has a few tens of thousands of dollars in pocket money each month, and she has to ask the Whitmores to pay for all the luxuries she wants to buy.
Catherine knows every expense.

In just one morning, Sophie had spent over ten million dollars at the luxury store.

Could it be that her usual virtuousness was a pretense, and once Alex came back and had something to fall back on, she stopped pretending?
Catherine immediately called Sophie.
Sophie was bored and swiping her cell phone when she received a call from her “mother-in-law-to-be”.
She didn’t panic and called out in a respectful and meek tone, “Mom.”
“What’s wrong with you?” Catherine came up with a question, “You spent more than ten million dollars in one morning.”
Sophie softly said, “Mom, Alex asked me to take Lily out for a stroll.”
“When she first arrived, Lily was new to everything in town and loved it, so she bought more.”
Catherine was dumbfounded for a moment, “...... ”
But quickly regained her temper, “That girl doesn’t know how to moderate, don’t you know how to do it too?”
“Although the Whitmore family does not lack this amount of money, but money does not come from the wind ...... ”
Sophie was obediently disciplined.
Anyway, eating from the mouth and taking from the hand, this was her way of surviving in the Whitmore family.
