Chapter 15Alex The tune sounded familiar and eased into a dream where Alex was walking n***d over the wires of San Francisco's bridge. In the dream, the music gave her wings and she danced and flew over the treacherous border with abandon. She felt free. As the tune advanced, she stirred and finally woke up in Rob's bed. He wasn't by her side and the melody came from the living room. The piece being played was El Choclo, the first tango they danced together. It wasn't a recording.
