Arriving at La Guardia didn't bring a sensation of butterflies, but rather of impending doom. This trip hadn't been her dream. It'd been a desperate move to stay afloat amidst her desolation.
Pablo had seen a photo with Fermin's hand way up her parts during that fatidic performance and decided he'd had enough. Not only that, he broke their six-year relationship by kissing a blonde in front of her face. It was so… humiliating.
She'd seen it coming. Yet, it felt as if the rug that was her life had been pulled out from under her feet. So she'd looked at her options and traveling didn't look so bad, dangers and all, Fermin and all.
