Slowly but surely, Katrina is beginning to feel different about her breakup as she considers to move on and dating someone else or just being a happy single woman. She decides to explore the town a little, maybe take a stroll in the evening or go to some restaurant nearby or perhaps go to the park and connect with nature. After all she has been indoors since she came home and she has done a lot of grieving for her lost relationship, her main purpose of going home was to heal in an environment that felt safer to her vulnerable self at the time and there is no safer place than home. Katrina walks up to her mom with the mind of going out with someone instead of walking around alone and the town was a bit unfamiliar to her because it has been a long time since she visited home; she sure would need some company “mama” katrina calls her mum “do you have any plans for tomorrow? I feel bored and I want to go out; I was thinking we could go out together." "Oh, my baby hmmm let me see“ her mum said Mrs leonardes pauses for a moment and sits upright thinking if she has anywhere suitable for her and her daughter to go together. ”uh huh my friends birthday is coming up tomorrow and she has invited me to attend. Why don't you join me?" she said. ”Okay, Mama, I'll think about it," Katrina responded. Night quickly falls, and Katrina cannot help but feel overwhelmed by the birthday party she is about to attend the next day. She is tossing left and right in bed and gets up to her wardrobe to see if she has anything befitting such an occasion. “omg i have nothing to wear!” she exclaimed “I didn't pack up for a birthday party since I didn't expect to be attending one," she muttered to herself. ”maybe i will sit this one out and not attend“ And goes back to her bed to sleep with the conviction in her heart that she would not be attending the birthday party with her mother. **** THE NEXT MORNING The sun is up, and she is awake already; she sits up and stretches her body in front of her mirror by the side of her bed. She heads down for breakfast with her father and mother, as usual on the table is some appetizing food; tea, coffee, sausages, toasted bread and fruit on the side. “I don’t think I can get enough of this” she said looking at the food in front of her “Good morning my princess” “Good morning baby” Both parents greets Katrina. “Good morning papa, Good morning mama” she responded “I hope you slept well my princess?” Mr leonardes asked “Yes papa” “So baby how about the birthday party tonight, would you be attending with me?” Mrs leonardes asked “Hmmm mama, I don’t think I would be attending” Katrina replied in a low tone feeling a bit disappointed. “But why baby? It would be so much fun” “Mama I have looked at my wardrobe and I have nothing to wear, I didn’t think I would be invited to attend a birthday party here” “Silly you” Mrs leonardes said giggling as she chewed on her breakfast “I have lots of beautiful dresses in my wardrobe and you can check them out, and if you don’t like any of them, we can go shopping, there’s plenty of time to do so” “I’ll just have to send a message to my personal shopper or we can go to the store together” Mrs leonardes added “Oh thank you mama, what would I ever do without you” Katrina said "Okay, enough of trying to spend my money today and finish up your food," Mr. Leonardes said. "Hahaha," they all laughed. Later that same morning, Katrina goes to her mothers wardrobe to find something to wear to the birthday party She searches through but couldn’t find anything in her style, they were beautiful of course but not what she was known for. Katrina loved to wear simple yet classy outfits, but the mother on the other hand was the complete opposite, her mother had heels that looked like what belonged to models on the runway and jewelries that looked like she was the queen of an empire and clothes that screamed luxury that only celebrities wear on galas. “Mama, you have really beautiful dresses, but I feel they are not my type” “I would prefer if they were more toned down a bit, besides I’m not the celebrant, I wouldn’t want to steal her shine” she said “Hahaha nonsense my dear, there’s no such thing as a tone down, dressing are a way of expressing who you are” Mr leonardes said. “Besides we are the leonardes, the city must have really shaped you a lot, don’t worry I have just the perfect idea, I’ll ask my personal shopper to bring some of your choice home and you would pick what you feel comfortable and vibrant in” “Okay mama” Katrina replied “I love you” they both said to each other and hugged. Not long after, she personal shopper is in the Leonardes residence and Katrina has gone to meet up with him. “I want something simple yet classy” Katrina said “Okay ma’am, I have just the right one here” The personal shopper brings out an emerald green color dress that just blends with her rich caramel skin stone, it has some stones on it and the stones sparkles, the gown is just on top of her knee, so it’s neither too short or too long and it has a tiny strap and the neck is slightly reveling her cleavage the back of the dress revealing her toned back. Katrina tried the dress and swirls round the mirror “I love it” she said happily “I’m glad you love it ma’am” the personal shopper replied “I told you my personal shopper was the best and he has everything you could think of” Katrina picks up a pearl necklace and a pair of pearl earrings to go with the dress and a pair of silver heels to match. “I can already imagine myself in this dress, fully ready with my hair and makeup done” Katrina said to her mum “You look so beautiful baby” Mrs Leonardes said They begin preparing for the night already to attend the birthday party, getting hair, nails, and everything necessary to look stunning; eventually night falls, and it is time to start heading to the venue for the party, her friend's house.
