Ted was driving fast. He darted his SUV in and out of traffic, reaching speeds of 90mph. His youngest child, Ella, was screaming in the back seat. He hadn't properly fastened her safety harness, and her arm was incredibly uncomfortable. His oldest child, Aris, lay crumpled up in a blanket in the passenger seat, thrown into the vehicle quickly without any safety buckles at all. Ted was just now accepting that she was dead and what that might mean when she took an unexpected, large breath and coughed deeply several times.
"Aris, baby! Are you okay?!?!" He asked hesitantly, partially with relief and partially in fear. What would her survival mean? "Daddy." She said faintly before passing out again. Ted placed his hand on her side. She was breathing. "Omega, call Dr. Hart." He said. "Calling Dr. Hart, " Omega replied over the car speakers. The phone rang for but a moment. "Phil, she's alive. She's alive, Phil. I'm freaking out man, I'm freaking the f**k out!" Ted said, sweat pouring from every part of him. He wiped a puddle from his brow.
"Ted it's all good. Still bring her to my place, everything is good either way. We will handle this." Phil could hear the shifting of the car and the quick whooshing sounds of cars being passed. "Slow down. The last thing we need is for you to be pulled over man, not like this."
Ted consciously eased off the gas peddle. "Take a deep breath man! You are Teddy Latham. You are untouchable. You run this show. We know how to handle this. This is nothing but more choices to make Teddy." Phil didn't know what more to say. Ted was the level headed one. Ted called the shots. Ted made things happen. How was he supposed to be calm. He made people in this situation disappear, not save them. Aris was never meant to be touched. Their children had always meant something to them, if nothing else, an image to protect.
"Just fix it Phil, Just f*****g fix it!" Ted barked. Surely a cover up would be easy to handle. This could be fixed. His family was to fragile, his career was under to much scrutiny. This had to be fixed. Like it never f*****g happened. "Yeah, Yeah sure Ted, nice and slow now. We'll be ready for you, park in the garage.

Alex's guru eyed him, his expression perplexed. He had never expected this monumental day to have such pivotal results. Alex was a twin flame. The two moons and the girl seemed to be all the proof needed. For anyone else their heart center would only contain them, but not for twin flames. Guruji stroked his long, thin beard. "From here on, you will never truly walk alone Alex. She is a part of you now, more than she was before. Once you know, you can never forget." Even now, Alex could feel her. He knew she was alive. He could feel her heart beating next to his. This is what he means by always with me, thought Alex . He touched the part of his chest that was the beating of her heart, it brought him comfort to feel it. It beat differently than his own. He knew she was alive. Guru knew he must find a way to slow down these wild plans of action. Alex was a child who could presently do very little. There seemed to be nothing to do now as far as he was concerned.
"Will I always feel this way Guruji?" I don't feel as though I have any choice. I must find her, I must protect her. She feels like my home." confessed Alex. Guru wondered how much he should tell Alex, but in his usual fashion, Guru decided less was more. "Yes." replied his Guru. How could one explain love and how it grows to a child with no experience. Guru kissed his young student on the forehead. "Teach her Alex, if you see her again. Teach her all you know. She is your yin and you her yang. When her storm rages so will yours. Your story will be hers and vise versa. Teach her as you would teach yourself when you find her. Love her as you would want to be loved. For both your sakes..." He added.
Alex knew it would be pointless to ask for more than Guru offer, so he sat quietly considering how life might now be different. "You don't have to leave the Ashram right away Alex, In fact I advice the opposite. It would be good to formulate a plan, to find out more information, build your skills further... You know I believe there is sight beyond sight, you could learn to track her...or anything else you may need, perhaps work hard, and build your muscles." Guru stated, though it was more of a plea. Many had come and gone over the years but Guruji had raised Alex since he was a toddler. Having no biological children of his own, Alex was as close to a son to him as any child would be to a loving and proud father. Guruji stroked his beard while Alex considered what he had said. It was reasonable and logical. "Will you help me prepare Guruji, even knowing I will soon leave?" Alex asked, with hope and tears in his young eyes. Guru placed his hand gently on Alex's shoulder and guided him towards the temple as he nodded his yes. I will always help you Alex, he thought to himself... Until the last star fades.

Aris slowly opened her eyes. She could hear the soft whooshing and beeping of machines. The room was very bright, to bright for her to see. She winced. Her eyes hurt and wouldn't fully open. Her head hurt. Her body hurt. She couldn't move. She coughed softly and she felt it everywhere. She was confused and didn't know where she was. She opened her mouth to call for her mommy but quickly realized there was a tube down her throat. The sound of voices nearby began to come into focus. Aris was to groggy to care. She could hear her daddy, and having the young heart she did that brought her a small modicum of comfort.
"Let's just wait and see what she remembers Phil." Ted said. Aris had made it through the surgery and the damage to her uterus had been fixed. This could be solved. His family could survive this. His career could actually be secured with P.R. like this if the story he created was done right. "If she doesn't remember maybe we can let her live, I mean it's risky, it's risky ... You shouldn't have done it Ted."
She wasn't supposed to be home he sighed to himself. f**k that b***h Sharon and f**k his father too. "If she doesn't remember she lives Phil. I don't want to hear about your little f*****g fearings and your pissy little worries. Give her the roofie. I'm calling Sharon." What was daddy talking about she thought? Was he talking about her? Remember what?
Memories of the far off place flooded back to her. She shut her eyes and fell into them. She remembered the ocean and the beach and the moons... and the angel. Her angel. A beautiful boy who held her and protected her and blew his life into her when she was... dying. Heavy foot step with a quick pace were suddenly on her. "Here you are Aris, a nice little medicine to help you rest peacefully..." said Dr. Phil as he inserted the medication into her IV. She could taste and smell something. The need to sleep quickly consumed her brain and overtook her almost immediately.
Maybe she will forget he thought. Now that he had taken his own special medication for stress he was seeing hope for the future. Perhaps this could be spun. Ted would say he found he like this. He would say had been outside with Ella while Aris napped up stairs. After Aris didn't wake up he went to check on her. He searched the house to finally find her barely alive, and clearly horrifically assaulted. Panicked, he called his best friend and trusted pediatric surgeon Dr. Hart, wanting Aris of course to have the best quickest emergency care possible. The roofie would make her forget and add credibility to the story. Let this work thought Phil. Let this work.
