It would be less painful and easier to accept if it's someone else. But it's not because it was her. It was her who killed their mother. How can he tell her sister about it? Will her twin be able to accept her for what she did? Hindi niya alam kung ano ang gagawin everything was so fast and she can't even named the chaos that engulfed her being right now. Her heart was shredded. She was bleeding on the inside, so hurt, so devastated that she wanted to die. She refused to look at Aliyah. She can't show her how it pains her. How could she do that? She didn’t believe for a moment that Aliya had actually stayed with her. 'How can she looked at me with pity when I on the other hand wanted to kill myself?' She killed her own mother! Pinagpipiraso no'n ang lahat ng madaan and she felt broken beyond repair. "Lorie..." her name don't sound the same. It rings one idea that she's a murderer. But why? Bakit ako pa? She can feel everyone stared at her. All the monsters are pointing fingers at her. Everyone would punish her even her conscience does. They likely thought she is a monster dress in human skin tonight. But she refused to stand and protect herself from their judgment. "You gave me the gun because you know I'll fail right?" "It's not it Lorie—" "Then what? What do you want me to think Aliyah? I killed my own my mother! I saw everything! Her blood, her eyes and even her s-smile and it kills me! It haunted my whole being but I can't erase them. Do you know how difficult it was for me? They treated her like a pig! They raped her! They filled her skin with bruises! Made her cry! And then what? I am the one to kill her? Is this a punishment? Did you all plan these? Did you plan to ruin my family? You plan to make me feel these little by little?" Kita ang gulat sa mga mata ni Aliyah ngunit umiling ito but Lorie can't stop herself. She's in too much pain. "I shouldn't tried to save her if it means seeing her sacrifice for me. I don’t feel save right now! I felt being drown in pain and I felt I died. I just want to f*cking hurt myself." "I'm sorry if I wasn't able to stop you. But how can I stop you when you are eager to save her. I was onece on your position and if you hadn't tried you will still be engulf with what if's. Your mother was about to be executed tomorrow Lorie—" Gano'n naman pala. And it was shameful on her part. "So all along you knew that there's no chance for me to save her... all along you just wanted to tell me to survive. But why should I survive? How can I face everyone now? How can I face my sister?" Their blood blurred her vision. "I want you to save yourself to fulfill your own mission Lorie. In this life you still have your sister to protect. In this life you won't attain power or strength for free and it would not be enough even you trained for years because only anger can make your monster within you alive. Use every essence of hatred within you Lorie. You can't save your mother now but her soul and purpose should live in your hands." A kind of feeling that she felt when her mother was shot in front of her to make sure it won’t survive. A feeling she felt when her father was shot in the head nang hindi man lang nalalaman na naroon siya at nanonood. "I'll ask you this Lorie, Can you change their fate? Can you let death chase them rather you?" "Would you let them laugh in victory forever Lorie? And let them forget your parent's death just like how they forget a trash after throwing it away? Yes it's painful but would you really let them get away?" Aliyah face her again and show her a smile. Ngunit tama ito! She shouldn’t give them the satisfaction of seeing her so shattered. And now her gaze locked onto Aliyah. Nothing else but her. Now she understand what she must do, she must use her hatred to make it her strength. The coldness embrace her as her eyes reached out to Aliyah. Aliyah'a tells her that she will win. That she'll help her. What had she ever done besides trying to save her family? And now she's trying to do it again after failing to do it for the first time. Now, she will try to save her only family. Protect Rovie will all her might. Enough was enough. Her life deserved better. She was through paying penance. She was done with being looked down on, condemned and being stomped by those monster. Forcing a smile in Aliyah’s direction, she pushed back her chair and slowly rose as if she hadn’t a care in the world. She stared across the table the room and it seems she can see her mother. Then she accept it all. She let the full force of her hatred shine. She didn’t care if it flamed and burned her being. She won't accept defeat now or weakness. They could all go to hell and she’d buy them a first-class ticket. Then she turned to face the Aliyah. “Then what are you in my life Aliyah? Are you one of them? Do I need to kill you too? So tell me." "If you consider me one then I don't mind." She knew it better. Alam niyang may iba rito. She's different from everyone. But right now she can trust her. If she can see Aliyah as a threat then she won't think twice and she will kill her. No matter how hard Lorie dug her heels in and tried to halt time, just one day and everything was change. Her parents died in front of her. One day and her heart was ripped apart from her chest. And crying won't change a thing. Crying can't save her parents or bring them back to life. They fades leaving bloody scene and one goal in her heart. She should accept the fact that this is not all good old days that when she came downstairs and sat before the fire in their kitchen, staring into the flames her mother would prepare foods for them. But suddenly Lorie imagined herself burning. Not like her ancestors at the stake. An ember of anger was slowly igniting within her, reducing the person she used to be to ash. At times her simmering rage was the only indication she was still alive. Aliyah kept casting wary glances on Lorie's way, after what they have talked awhile ago now she can see Lorie's even colder. While those men around the muttering charms of pride and greedy intentions while eating and drinking liquors. Aliyah didn’t understand the hatred she was being consumed with after seeing Lorie engulfed with pain. And now she knows Lorie longed for revenge. Vengeance was now a part of Lorie, as real and necessary as her heart or her lungs. Each day that will passed Aliyah knows that Lorie would be fueled by growing wrath. All Lorie had to do was crack the walls within this hell, and she’d discover everything she needed to know. 'Hindi pa niya alam ang mga sekretong nakatago sa lungga ng kakalabanin niya and she can't risk it.' These were her private thoughts, and she didn’t want to commit one more violation when she’d already suffered so much. She sat quietly, considering what she would urge herself to do. She easily heard her voice in her head, telling her to stop thinking about the fall and to just jump. Lorie took risks. She made hard choices, especially if it meant helping her family. In order to find out the weaknesses of those people who killed her family, she needed to follow in their footsteps, even if it made her uncomfortable. She needs to inhaled deeply, and opened the mystery. First, Lorie should have the demon she summoned within her break the doubts she have. A demon she could control was the answer to a prayer. It seemed she’d been wrong earlier; the goddess of death and fury hadn’t ignored her pleas. She’d simply been biding her time, waiting for her to turn her despair into something she could use. A twig was just a bit of broken wood until it had been sharpened into a spear. Grief carved me in half. And fury honed the pieces into a weapon. Now it was time to unleash it. Just wait mother and you would have the justice you need. 'And just wait father I'll make sure their blood will be in my hands.' Lorie thought and her mind wander from somewhere deep. They all scream for her father's and they all contribute to her pain. They would experience the same thing when she would put her hands on them. She will bury her dagger and pain on their body. Just wait.
