With the tremor from the explosion, I felt the entire seaplane tilt. I looked down and saw that the right half of the seaplane's float had been blown off. The fuselage leaned dangerously, and waves began to splash in through the edges of the cabin door. But that wasn't the worst part. The real danger came from the power of the grenade explosion underwater. While the shrapnel's lethal range was diminished, the force of the shockwave was five to six times stronger than it would have been in the air. Soon, the bottom of the cabin started to leak.
