Chapter 3

1090 Words
I was a mercenary who had witnessed countless conspiracies and killings. If this cruise ship was sabotaged, I suspected there would be no rescue, and assassins might come for the survivors. It likely had something to do with that billionaire businessman. I kept this terrifying thought from Julia to avoid scaring her. I opened a coconut and shared its flesh with her. "Let's not dwell on it. We need to focus on surviving," I said. "It's probably afternoon now. After eating, you should find resources as soon as possible, or you won't make it through the night," I advised. Julia, as she ate the coconut, said, "I'll stay with you until the rescue team arrives." I replied coldly, "Don't push your luck. Sharing this coconut with you was generous enough. On this deserted island, resources are scarce. Having you around would just be a burden." Julia didn't get angry. She looked at me gently and said, "Don't you have any other need besides surviving? Don't you want revenge on Joyce and see her suffer?" Her words sparked a desire for revenge in me. Yes, even if I had to die here, I wanted to make Joyce pay for her betrayal. Julia was smart. She seemed to know she'd swayed me by my expression. She came closer, took me by my arm, and whispered, "There are many ways to take revenge on this island. Killing her here would be too easy for Joyce." She continued, "I know women well. They argue but never make any survival efforts. And if you take care of me, guess what Joyce's reaction will be." I immediately understood Julia's point. Joyce was my wife, and I should have cared for her. But Joyce betrayed me and drove me away. Now, she must be freezing and starving. Based on Joyce's character, if I took care of Julia, she'd probably be furious and shout at me like crazy. Julia held my arm and said, "I know surviving here is tough. But if we all die, you'd go insane from loneliness." With tears in her eyes, she continued, "You have strong survival skills, and I can only survive by sticking with you. Please help me, Mr. Fraser, I don't want to die. Be kind, please. Think of me as a pet of yours." Seeing her tears, I nodded. "Alright, you can stay with me." "Now, I'll go find some food, and you collect as many fallen coconut leaves as possible." Julia nodded and began gathering the three-or-so-foot coconut leaves nearby. I picked a few coconuts and found two sea snails on the beach. The most surprising find was a fish in a rocky area. I walked onto the rocks and picked up the flatfish from a puddle. Flatfish, also known as flounder, like to hunt for small fish and shrimp near the coast. During high tide, some stupid flatfish get trapped in rock crevices. Finding the flatfish filled me with joy. My delight wasn't just about getting food. It was because adult flatfish live where seawater and freshwater meet. This meant there was a freshwater source on the island. I found a sharp stone and cut open the flatfish. Its meat was delicious and nutritious and could provide some water when eaten raw. *** As the sky darkened, I returned to the beach with the fish, sea snails, and coconuts, sharing the food with Julia. Julia ate gracefully, then rinsed her mouth and washed her hands in the seawater. After nightfall, I spread half of the coconut leaves on the ground and covered myself with the other half. Julia looked worried. "It might be cold tonight. Will we be okay?" I replied calmly, "We'll see if we're lucky enough. If not, we might not make it through the night and die from hypothermia while we're asleep." Julia hesitated, then moved closer with a smile. "I'm not wearing much, and I'm not as strong as you. Hold me while we sleep to keep us warm." Before I could respond, Julia snuggled into my arms. Seeing my surprised expression, Julia turned slightly and placed my arm around her waist. We lay there, our bodies pressed together. Her firm, round booty pressed against my thighs. I hadn't been with a woman for a long time, and my body reacted immediately. I felt my c*ck hardening as it pressed hard against Julia's butt. I was not sure if it was intentional, but Julia gently twisted her waist, and her soft hips rubbed against my body. I felt the blood boiling inside me as if there was a fire I couldn't extinguish. This sense of warmth made Julia feel comfortable, and she soon fell asleep in my arms. *** The next morning, I saw Julia tidying herself up on the nearby beach. Even on a deserted island, she took care of her hair and freshened up before coming over to me, "Our revenge plan has started. Do you want to see how miserable she is?" I replied with a sigh, "You tested me last night, and now you're provoking Joyce. You've got quite a few tricks up your sleeve." Julia stuck out her tongue. "You knew I was testing you, huh?" I took out a piece of stone. "This is the sharp stone I used to cut the flatfish. You held it all night. If I dared to violate you, you'd slit my throat with it, right?" I handed the stone to her. "I have no money and don't know how to pick up girls. You're so beautiful. How could you possibly seduce me the moment we met?" I then advised, "Men can't handle tests. Don't play such dangerous games in the future." Julia nodded, a bit embarrassed. "Alright, now I believe you're a good person." Julia took my hand and said, "Come on, let's go see Joyce and the others." To be honest, I thought these women were childish. On such a deserted island, they weren't thinking about survival but were concerned with trivial matters. Yet, thinking of Joyce being cold and hungry made me feel pleased. Joyce betrayed me, and those girls drove me away without giving me a chance to explain. Now, I wanted to see their miserable state with my own eyes. ***** Author’s Note: Thank you so much for reading and being part of this journey!
