Kayla shook her head quickly, her face pale with fear. "No... that thing of yours is way too scary. It's longer than Sakura's forearm. I think it'd tear me apart." I sighed, shaking my head with a smile. "Silly," I said, standing up and slinging my backpack over my shoulder. I checked my watch. "Let's keep moving. We'll go one more mile. Whether we find water or not, we're heading back at 2:00 p.m. sharp." Kayla nodded and used a branch as a makeshift walking stick, following close behind me.
