The camp erupted into chaos.
"Oh! Is that a rescue team?" Lauren shouted, her voice brimming with excitement.
Mina rolled her eyes and shot Lauren a sharp glare, her expression making it clear she thought the question was absurd.
"If it were an official rescue team," I said, shaking my head, "Kayla and Tanya wouldn't have come back so terrified."
Kayla nodded quickly. "We saw two strange men on the beach. They had knives and sticks. They looked dangerous, so we ran back as fast as we could."
Lauren crossed her arms, her tone dismissive. "Having a knife for protection on a deserted island isn't that strange. How does that make them dangerous?"
