Jane Walker woke up at 6 a.m. The stress of being an associate dean sometimes caught up with her. At times, Jane wanted to return to the faculty. While she enjoyed her job, working with people like Steve made it difficult. Jane knew that if she could stick it out a few more years, she would have a shot at becoming dean.
Jane took the morning to read the newspaper and gather her thoughts. She drank her coffee and listened to classical music on her beautiful balcony in the suburbs of Coral Gables before heading off to work. She shook her head. It was a crazy world, with so much evil. She enjoyed the mornings, but the brutality of the world kept her anxious.
Jane got dressed and opened the garage to her single-family home and headed off to work. She spent the day in meeting after meeting. S
