Steve woke up in the hospital with tubes up his nose and in his arm. He had never been in a hospital before. He looked around for a glass of water. Steve had a perishing thirst, but he had difficulty moving. He tried to speak, but only a whimper came out.
Steve had been stabbed in the stomach, and he was still confused. He never saw that student before, but it was quite possible that he went too far. Steve disregarded the thought. Someone tried to kill him. A foolish student, of all people. His anger began to build. He could still picture the person in his mind. He hatched a plan; not only would he kill that person, he would use the attempted murder to his advantage. Maybe it would help him attain the rank of full professor.
